Fund Administration

The fund as a private Canadian Registered Charity is managed and administered by a board of directors. Board members are responsible for monitoring the investment portfolio and performance reporting on the overall infrastructure fund to the Canadian Revenue Agency and the donors to the Munro Hampton Infrastructure Fund (MHIF).

The MHIF is focused mainly on the maintenance of the existing buildings at Hampton and Munro. Maintenance projects include such items as painting, roofing, electrical repairs, plumbing, water harvesting gutters, drains and down spouts, netball and tennis courts.

Although the MHIF currently does not intend to provide any funding for new capital projects such as; Auditoriums, Class Rooms, Science Labs, Dormitories, Libraries, Dining Rooms, Kitchens, Computer Laptops, Science Lab Equipment and Supplies, the MHIF will continue to support all fundraising initiatives of the Old Girls Association and Old Boys Association and related chapters by reposting their emails and flyers to the MHIF database.

The MHIF is required to manage in a hands-on manner all aspects of projects it funds outside of Canada directly as required by Canadian laws governing Canadian registered charities. The MHIF is not allowed to donate any funds directly to Hampton School, Munro College, nor to any Hampton or Munro Alumni Associations or chapters. The MHIF can partner with other donors to implement projects outside of Canada, however all aspects of the project management, project execution including the management of all project expenditures must be lead and controlled 100% by the MHIF.

There are many other private alumni organizations and individuals that support other specific needs at the schools. The non-profit The Kamille Project https://thekamilleproject.wordpress.com/ provides support for furniture and laptop computers and tablets for schools in Jamaica including Hampton and Munro.
Another non-profit that is currently supporting the plumbing infrastructure at Hampton is the Project Renaissance Bath Rooms https://donate.onecause.com/projren_br/
